Bio
Charles VanMeter (b. 1994) is a sculptor and painter. VanMeter currently works out of his metals studio in the East End and teaches sculpture at University of Houston. His practice creates physical and psychological landscapes using a variety of media like concrete, copper, steel, and paint. These material metaphors examine the complexities of perpetual change and cyclical histories. He recently completed completed his Masters of Fine Art in Sculpture at University of Houston after receiving a BA in Art from University of Kentucky in 2020. CV
