Charles VanMeter is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor. He was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky though he has lived all over the country. Following a brief stint at Transylvania University, VanMeter attended Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles where he initially pursued a degree in digital media, then changed majors to study studio art at University of Kentucky. Following his graduation in 2020, he moved to Houston, where he maintains a studio at Box13 ArtSpace, takes classes at the Glassell Studio School, and will soon join the University of Houston Sculpture Department as an MFA Candidate in the Fall of 2023.
